topomodoro began with a simple image: a beautiful metal spinning top on a desk beside a window. While you work, it spins. When it is time to rest, it gently comes to a stop.
The name brings together top — a spinning top — and pomodoro, the Italian word for tomato associated with the familiar focus-and-break routine.

Choose a task, a scene and a little background sound. Let the timer hold the boundary between work and rest. There is no leaderboard, no account to create and no pressure to keep a streak.
